His global restaurant group, Gordon Ramsay Restaurants, has been awarded 16 Michelin stars in total and currently holds a total of seven. But today, he is one of the world’s most famous chefs and TV hosts. According to The New York Times report in 2010, he was the face of New York for his famous shows on TV. He is also known for introducing an element of rowdy, mass-market culture to American food television. Chef Emeril Lagasse was born in Fall River, Massachusetts, in the United States. He mastered the art of bread and pastry baking in his teens while working at a Portuguese bakery. Emeril received a degree from Johnson and Wales University and also an honorary doctorate from the same university. In 1979 he became Executive Chef at the Dunfey’s Hyannis Resort. In 1983 he was nominated for the chef of the year. He was born on November 23, 1953, in Oklahoma City, U.S. state of Oklahoma. Authentic Mexican: Regional Cooking from the Heart of Mexico is the most outstanding work of Rick. He dedicated over six years to culinary research in Mexico for this publication. Mexican Kitchen and Fiesta at Rick’s also became famous worldwide. Bayless and his show Mexico: One Plate at a Time has been nominated for several Daytime Emmy Awards over the years. Rick’s first restaurant was Frontera Grill which he jointly started with his wife, Deann. But today, he owns more than 12 restaurants all around the world. On May 19, 2010, Rick Bayless was invited as a guest chef for the White House state dinner honouring Mexican President Felipe Calderón and his wife, Margarita Zavala.

7. Sunny Anderson

Sunny Anderson is mainly known for her famous TV shows- How’d That Get On My Plate, Cooking for Real, and Gotta Get It. She was born in Lawton, Oklahoma. Anderson’s parents were in the Army, allowing her to travel and indulge in the local cuisine. Anderson served the United States Air Force from 1993 to 1997. Canadian chef Matt Basile became famous when he started a TV show called Rebel Without a Kitchen. He is also the creator of Fidel Gastro’s – a street food company. Matt also hosts famous cooking shows on YouTube; some are Chefs in Cars Getting Takeout, Date Night with Grandma, YAAAA Brunch, etc. He jointly writes two cookbooks named Street Food Diaries and Brunch Life with his friend Kyla Zanardi.
